WS_FTP 是一套在全世界擁有著超過四千萬人在使用的FTP客戶端工具，更有著 ZDNe t軟體編輯的一致推薦、Tucows 五隻乳牛等殊榮。

因為它的直覺化操作介面，傳輸檔案，就像在使用檔案總管一樣，不管是使用「複製貼上」的方式或是使用「拖曳」的方式，都可以輕鬆容易且快速的完成檔案傳輸的動作，而且可以與 Windows 內建的檔案總管做結合。

程式裡的 WS_FTP Upload Wizard，使用精靈模式，慢慢的引導你做檔案傳輸的動作，讓你也能「無痛上傳」，WS_FTP Upload Wizard 更與 Windows 檔案總管做結合，使用滑鼠右鍵的內容選單，就可以呼叫 WS_FTP Upload Wizard 執行檔案傳輸的動作。

WS_FTP Synchronize Utility（僅包含於 Professional 版）最適合資料同步的動作，不管是網站資料的更新，或是 FTP 檔案的更新，都非常適合使用 WS_FTP Synchronize Utility 來做資料同步化的動作，讓你在管理你的網站或是 FTP 格外的方便容易。

除了 FTP 單純的上下傳功能之外，它更跨足到了 FXP 領域，讓你傳輸檔案，不再是 Local - Server 間的檔案互傳，而是可以達到 Server - Server（僅包含於 Professional 版）間的檔案互傳，如果再搭配 WS_FTP Synchronize Utility，那可就成了在網路上常看到的 Mirror 站台了，如此一來，更大大的減少了管理 Mirror 站台的時間。
